    Though, there are alternatives to statins as well.
    I'm thinking of talking to doctor about niacin. It also lowers cholesterol and triglycerides.

    Physicians and patients need to be a team.

      if you can tolerate it. I've never yet had a patient who was able to handle the doses necessary to achieve an effect without getting side effects, unless they were taking the very expensive, brand name, extended release product that no insurance company is willing to pay for.
