my mom picked me (us? I was in the back seat) up at school in our green and white '57 Chevy station wagon. The windows were fogged up. I asked who would be the president then.. and if they were killed, who after that.

from the perspective that there were three major assassinations, plus an attempted one (against George Wallace) in 5 years.  For quite some time I thought that was just the way things worked.

Hope they gave him a good education.

well, Wm. Hammerschmidt Elementary was very good to me. It was only a couple blocks from home, and even on snow days when it was closed we would walk over and play. Most of the teachers were like family- I even blurted out "Mom" to one once and everybody laughed.

I was a nerdy little kid, and the teachers' pet. Then I went to junior high and high school in another state, and apparently went to hell. I dropped out of high school.

Of course, I later received a MS from UCDavis, which I didn't pay a penny for, in fact they paid me to go to school. So, fuck you Redmond High School, you soul-suckers.
