    in order to follow someone on Facebook, or certain pages about them, you have to "like" them.  You can also like a person without agreeing with their politics. Heaven knows I've had friends with whom I've had extreme disagreements with, but I still liked them as people.

    For example: George W. Bush, despite having terrible policies on any number of issues, always struck me as being a likable person in some ways. Granted he's not the kind of person I would have hung out with given our diverging interests, he's clearly a jock and I am very, very, very much a nerd; but that's just how his personality struck me, of course you're free to disagree and that's cool.

    I can see where the diarist is coming from as well in that a person can theologically conservative and not 100% politically conservative. I tend towards that way of thinking myself in a lot of ways, though that would require a whole diary in and of itself to explain lately.
