    It's been hours since Harry Reid changed the rules in
    the Senate and I haven't seen a single reference to
    Adolph Hitler or Joseph Stalin.

      truly understood the threat five years ago.  Old timers didn't believe the opposition would really grind senate lawmaking to a halt and plunge the senate's approval numbers to 9%.  But there is no excuse, after the 2011 budget mess, for Dianne Feinstein, Dick Durbin and the rest of the Democratic holdouts to continue to cling to the idea of a congenial senate body.

      I hope the president can get all 76 vacancies in the federal courts - and any vacancies that may occur in the meantime - filled in the next 12 months.
