you should shop elsewhere. But, many towns like ours has been decimated by Walmart leaving it devoid of other competitive stores.

We like to drive to a store called Winco in SLC, it's as big as Walmart but mostly groceries, low prices and employee owned. It's great, but it is a 70 mile round trip and sometimes we can't do it.

Plus, Winco is a "bag it yourself" store. You don't drive that far to just pick up a few things, so it's hard work. I can do it, but I'm 63 in a couple weeks and it's hard on me. I don't know whether the me of ten years from now will be able to do it.

The two other grocery stores in our town are much more expensive on the same brands. Example, I drink Lipton Black Pearl black tea. It costs $2.12 at Walmart and $5.28 at Albertsons and they don't carry it at the other grocery.

Still, we do the bulk of our shopping at Albertsons and the other store but there are some things I won't pay more than double for. We are living on less than $16. an hour, we have to watch what we buy.

And daddy won't you take me back to Muhlenberg County Down by the Green River where Paradise lay. Well, I'm sorry my son, but you're too late in asking Mister Peabody's coal train has hauled it away. John Prine
