      Which was the primary tribe of the Southern Kingdom which survived until the Babylonian conquest of 582 BCE and the subsequent exile, that makes Tamara the mother of the Jewish people.   Her act, sleeping with her father-in-law, sounds abhorrent for our time, but was considered righteous by the Biblical narrator.
