  •  We have basic cable only (7+ / 0-)

    That gives us the locals plus a couple useless channels (HSN, I'm talkin bout YOU!), without OTA hassles - most of the time - very cheaply, at least it used to be. I also set up OTA gear for our "extra" PBS channels, usually comes in OK. Of course, what they never talked about concerning the switch to digital signals for OTA broadcast is that if there IS interference, you get ZIP, NADA, nothin, no signal period... as opposed to the old analog broadcasting where we'd get onscreen lines, or a grainy pic, or wandering sounds, or all of the above, but very rarely no signal at all.

    So we have PBS, but they don't got Dr Who! Used to, not anymore.

    Um, DD, where might I find a Net Stream? It would be great to check in on my favs, after the SU/Pitt game, that is. OOPS, I mean, my chores!
