with them for an hour today. I typed one number wrong in my husband's social security number, and it will not let me fix it. This has been going on since Thursday of last week. Yes, I tried starting over with a second account. It won't let me log into the the account. I know the password, but it says it is wrong. When I request the email to reset the password, I get the email, click the link, only to get a message that they could not process my request.

When I called in the problem last Thursday, they told me somebody from the Escalation Team would call me in 2 to 5 Business Days. Nobody called. When I called today, I was transferred to the Escalation Team after waiting on hold for 15 minutes. When I talked to the Rep. she did exactly what the first person who is not escalated did. Only to find out that the system will not let any of us edit my husband's social security number to fix the one wrong digit.

She finally told me that what I have to do is WAIT. Get away from the computer and check back once a week. Then she told me that I have until December 23 to enroll. There was nobody she could transfer me to. There is nobody who can delete the application I started. I have to WAIT until they fix the ability to edit an error. SO fair warning, make sure you double check everything you enter before pressing the ENTER button!

    •  here's a suggestion for your second account (9+ / 0-)

First delete your cookies and cache.  Close then reopen your browser.  Copy and paste the link from your email into your browser and see if works.  If not click the forgot password link again. I read in a blog post that a person had to reset his password several times, clearing cookies and cache each time,  before it worked for him.

    •  How long has this been going on? (1+ / 0-)

Also missed one digit on my wife's SSN.  Online, I may be able to submit her card or a previous tax return to get that fixed...

Identities of WA state navigators are better kept secrets than the identities of covert CIA agents...  The webpage will let you find and contact a navigator as long as you know their name.....

Getting someone on the phone is virtually impossible, all my calls result in getting the "we can't handle the calls message".  They just gave the head honcho of this CF a 13% merit raise.  What were they thinking?

        ...and picked out an insurer?

        It just aborted?

I'm a contractor, my agency dropped all pretenses and only offers a couple of preventative care options. Apparently their "health insurance plans" didn't pass ACA muster. Unfortunately at our ages, my wife and I have ongoing health issues, so I have to have insurance.

I picked out a plan, seems better on the Rx than the old one, but run$4-500 more per month than the old one.

I'm making way too much for the subsidies right now.  but this gig ends in March, I'd be on Railroad unemployment which wouldn't even cover the insurance premium, let alone the mortgage or the utilities....  So I wan't to ask questions about coverage / premium support when (if?) that comes to pass.  No one to answer the phone...

      •  Gotta worry about a program that doesn't check (2+ / 0-)

SSN's for correct no. of digits. The place to catch errors (speaking as a veteran programmer) is before they get very far into the process. Like immediately. Aren't they all 9 numeric digits? How hard could counting digits be?

Walgreens and CVS pharmacies nationwide are helping people apply.  If you go into a navigator start over with a new account with a new email address.

      •  Yeah... I tried the navigator search (1+ / 0-)

If I knew the DOB and SSN of a navigator, I might be able to find one. I exaggerate, but it is extremely frustrating. You should be able to enter a zip code and get a result. I've been told at least 50 times by the nice robot lady to "call back later"...

Understaffed, underfunded... We really need an informational campaign on the scale of the census to make this work.

I try to be supportive out in the world, because I believe we have to make this work... or prove the rethugs right when they say government doesn't work... I think we have about a month to demonstrate the effectiveness of the program or we are kind of screwed.

ISPs.  The company entered my husband's social security wrong; it was correct on the application but was entered in error.  They used the last four digits in their voice-mail torture, so it caused a problem every time we had to call in.  At least it short circuited the voice-mail and brought up a live person who unfortunately could do nothing to fix the error.

We were told that the only way to get it fixed was to go to a physical location and show ID which my husband did.  Still did not fix it.  After finally getting the service to work, which took about a week and several phone calls to both customer and tech services I decided to give up. Hopefully it does not matter that the SS # in wrong in their system.
