    It really does convey a rather wild, breezy day.   Those trees really provide the reference point for the entire scene.  (and just enough small detail)  Nature in all its grandeur.   Very nicely done, Ralphdog.  You must live amongst some beautiful scenery.

      It's a former hilltop farm that went under (like most in our area) around 1900, returned to forest, and was logged over around 1970. Now it's a patchwork of fields used for corn or hay and pasturing cattle, with some ancient apple orchards, and a few sections of very old forest that were too steep to log. And we actually have some waterfalls on the property. Winters are pretty brutal, though. 10 degrees and 40 mph wind is a typical February day.

      Our views to the east are starting to be obscured by newer growth, but I can't bring myself to cut down even the 'trash trees'.
