      police reports and have talked to people who have had negative experiences with police.

      Where I live, college students have told me of police who have confiscated cocaine and then sniffed it off the hood of the police car. A mother has told me of her Downs son who was locked up for taking a candy bar.

      The increasing number of ex-military in our police forces may be the source of some of the negative police actions I have heard about. Two of the officers in the above incidents were ex-military.

        long as there have been cops. Ther proportion of bad to good has never been established, though, a case could be made that most are criminals to some extent becuase  of failure to rat out the wrongdoers among them. blaming it on the returning military has no basis in fact. You might, however, consider the old adage that all power corrupts.
