  •  Some of those listed above I don't mind (7+ / 0-)

"Tubthumping" is a fun drunk shout-along (which is the whole point), but it did wear thin when it was all over the radio.  I like "Wannabe" now, but burned out on it in the late 1990s when the teen-pop bubblegum sound it inspired was everywhere (especially those sappy soundalike boy-band ballads---blecch.)

Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" should have been run over by one of those horse-drawn carts in the Amish country where he's recently been appearing in a TV reality show.  Minnie Riperton's "Lovin' You" is fingernails on a chalkboard with some birds chirping in the background.

Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" and LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" were OK at first, then grossly overplayed.  If I never hear either again (and I surely will) it would be too soon.

    •  Thank you. I love "Tubthumping" (5+ / 0-)

Could listen to it a zillion times.  It's fun.
Here's another which I like and I'm sure others hate:

Now "Muskrat Love"?  That's some serious hi-grade weaponry.

    •  The Black Eyed Peas, legendary suckery, by tanking (0+ / 0-)

a dreadful dance and song # to a national audience at Super Bowl halftime is worse than a wardrobe malfunction in making most of America hate you, longer bathroom break, bring back some more beer from the store etc. I could not believe what I saw, except "what were they thinking" when they tanked all over America. A great end to a bad career.
