    the Senate -- but as I recall, there were a number of Republicans who believed on election night that Romney was going to win. I don't believe they have a firm grip on reality.

    Should they win the Senate, it certainly won't be a 2/3 majority, which is what they'll need to override a veto. Pres Obama will not sign a repeal of ACA.

    Also, once people have enrolled the vast majority will see their premiums go down. And there will be the stories from people who are able to get insurance for the first time because they aren't being rejected due to preexisting conditions. Some people will be getting a rebate check. Cancer patients, etc, will not have lifetime limits. People can't get tossed off their insurance plans once they get sick. How are the Republicans going to explain repealing ACA to all those people?

    And by the way, the republican numbers were in the toilet when they shut down the government. Their numbers haven't come up -- the Dems sunk some on the ACA rollout. However, McConnell is already talking another shutdown over the next budget fight. Don't underestimate the ability of the republicans to keep the focus on what complete and utter douches they are.
