...reduce unemployment to zero percent; wipe out the budget deficit and the national debt completely; reduce taxes for everyone by 50 percent due to a sudden increase in the federal revenue stream because of the above; personally oversee the development of a cure for cancer and agree to kill off the Affordable Care Act....Republicans would still be moaning and complaining...because he didn't cure diabetes, too.

Today's Republicans are a strange bunch. They seem to wantonly go about trying to violate every basic rule of decency and have no sense of nuance whatsoever when it comes to serving the role of the loyal opposition in a competent, constructive way.

It's almost as if they decided one day that, well, since we have the first African-American president in American history, there's no need to treat the president with any degree of respect whatsoever (and, my guess, is that blatantly racist factor is what's behind their decision to oppose him on everything...even on policies they agree with...because they know that a certain amount of Americans will give them latitude to oppose him...just because of the color of his skin).

Hopefully, the Republicans continued miscalculating with their tin-eared ways. After's hard to drag the approval of the House of Misrepresentatives any lower than the nine percent they've already dragged it down to.
