  •  Walker's ego would have to overcome (7+ / 0-)

his fear of true sunlight and scrutiny by political and news researchers with resources and acumen.  Can't imagine how long he'd last if he had to have Secret Service guys watching him 24x7.  Hard to crow about achievements in making Wisconsin better economically when Minnesota now ranks 8th amongst states in which to do business and Wisconsin in the 30's. One of Walker's punch lines is Wisconsin is now "Open for Business."  Which mainly has turned out to be poaching a few small businesses from Illinois businesses, and the dirty mining corporations intent on polluting our waters and lands--and keeping this from the public eye as long as possible.  I suspect Walker's future is in some 'think tank', perhaps one with grey bars, rather than a 2nd term as WI Governor or presidential candidate.

    •  His response to that is to whine that (7+ / 0-)

he had to contend with protests, and recalls, lions, tigers, and bears, oh my, that his "neighbors" didn't.  Yes, it's beyond silly, but when the TM promotes these flimsy excuses as "true", well, we've got a huge problem.

Yes, we're "Open for Business" here - open to giving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to business (and then, conveniently losing track of those loans made or whether the business kept their side of the bargain when they were given a huge subsidy).   The taxpayer wallets are laid bare for corporate interests.

We've also given business huge tax breaks - it was the first thing Walker did after taking office.  For him it was a win-win - rewarding his corporate donors and also creating a huge budget deficit that he had to "fix" with a Budget Repair Bill that he used to screw school kids, the disabled, and destroy public employee unions while shaking down every public employee to cough up 18% of their salary that public employees had been working to preserve for more than a decade by giving back pay increases.

He's a crook and a schmuck.  Sadly, even if we get rid of him we still have a gerrymandered legislature filled with his Not So Merry Men.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.

Walker has done nothing to fix the problems we have because he hasn't bothered to look at the problems.

Wisconsin has a relatively low number of college graduates. Why? The opportunities aren't here. Milwaukee isn't really growing. Madison is too small to drive our economy. The Fox Valley/Green Bay is no bigger than metro Madison and had more manufacturing. 30 years ago, Wisconsin had roughly the same median income as Minnesota, now it is 10% behind.

Wisconsin has a great public university system, but it is feeding Chicago and the Twin Cities for folks who want to stay around here, not Milwaukee.

Americans can make our country better.
