  •  He started it with his promise to (10+ / 0-)

create those 250,000 jobs (his "floor" and not his "ceiling" - his own words during a highly viewed interview).   It was his one and only campaign promise with numerous (now disappearing) ads and the subject of all his speeches.

What did he deliver instead of jobs?  A whole lot of extremist legislation and an austerity budget that took everyone's breath away.

And that legislation and budget has fueled a whole lot of job loss.  Take 18% out of the checks of every single public employee in the state to pay for benefits they've been giving up pay raises to keep for over 10 years and you'll have serious economic impacts.  Less money, less spending and not only does business not hire more workers, they lay off or close.

Holding Scott Walker to his #1 and nearly only promise isn't about blaming governors;  it's about personal responsibility.

PS - The way our economy was doing during the 8 years under a Democratic Governor, even doing better than most of the country in the 2008 crash, it would have been possible to create those 250,000 jobs.  The Walker economy stopped them from being created.

There already is class warfare in America. Unfortunately, the rich are winning.
