    She's John Cornyn's Democratic challenger.

    •  Cornyn will be trying to cut off a challenge from (0+ / 0-)

the right, so this is just the beginning of his adventure in extreme stupid.
Thanks for the links, I didn't realize we had a challenger yet. I'm glad she's a woman.
I don't know about this, but I think some of the plans to increase sanctions, and maybe even the criticism from Netanyahu may be to some degree choreographed with the WH to add a little potential stick to go with their carrot in negotiations with the Iranians and limit Iranians expectations of what the WH can deliver..
It's probable that similar maneuverings are going on on their side as well.
      That's my guess.

He really is.  Don't forget, he has connections to the Bushies that go way back years ago, before he was even U.S. Senator so he's not that independent-minded.

Cornyn, I believe, has been under pressure from the Tea Party so that's why he's being more hard line than usual.  He's such a wimp.  It's as if he's caught between breaking the 11th Commandment Reagan adopted ("Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican") and saving his own ass.

        •  I agree. He's going to get primaried, so he's (0+ / 0-)

going to be channeling his inner Lindsey Graham.
I thought the Dems should have found the very best candidate and pumped money into his campaign back in 2008 when we had the great first Obama wave.
          Same with McConnell.
I think the Dems missed an opportunity in taking those two out in 2008 and it could have really been a game-changer.
