    cash shortages and claims disputes.

    When you file a claim with an insurer and have to fight for 6 mos or more to get paid, it really makes it hard to keep things going.

    That wouldn't just hit the ER, that would hit EVERYTHING.

    On the other hand, that bastion of socialized medicine, England, has plenty of small, local hospitals that can handle most emergencies and traumas, larger regional hospitals that can handle ANYTHING, and smaller, local clinics that handle the average day to day stuff.

    Those are open evenings, and have doctors who even make house calls for some patients.

    Yes, you heard right - HOUSE CALLS. Nurses do too. And mental health professionals.
