    to double timber harvests in 18 counties across Oregon on "O&C" lands, using an ecological approach to determining which trees get cut (it requires leaving a  third up) and protecting old growth. This will earn him ire from some environmental groups, and Walden, DeFazio and Schrader (I think) already supported a more aggressive plan (which Obama opposed). I wonder where our other members will be on it, and if it passes. It could certainly help bail out some local governments and communities who need the money.
