    freedom" dominance over "personal freedom". After that soaks in for a couple of years I'm not sure if a redneck will be able to get elected in 2016 to dog catcher in the vast majority of the country. Time and time again in my life, when people have finally figured out what a lot of that seemingly logical right wing rhetoric means to their daily lives, it gets repudiated big time.

    There can be no protection locally if we're content to ignore the fact that there are no controls globally.

      argument that rights specifically ennumerated in the Constitution take precedence over rights that are constructs.  Sorry, guys.  Rights are rights.  Many of the Founders didn't want a Bill of Rights because they thought it could be read as limiting the rights of the people to only those ennumerated.  And that is kind of where Justice Scalia leaves us, isn't it?
