what other 'social justice' organizations are supposedly identified as 'targets' other than the extra-legal (and admittedly extra-legal) Wikileaks?

No, I didn't read the report.  Your quotes from it gave a high enough ping on the BS register to not interest me in looking further.

    •  So in other words, you don't know what you're (5+ / 0-)

talking about.  RTFD and familiarize yourself with the subject at hand before you start posting nonsense stuff.

      •  Funny (4+ / 0-)

I skimmed the report. Most of the incidents date back 10-15 years and involve people snooping in dumpsters looking for discarded documents. Really scary stuff!

Other cases cited involved FRENCH and BRITISH authorities spying on organizations overseas.

The hyperventilating about the Corporate Fascist State is truly silly for a site that claims to be "reality-based".

        •  That's patently untrue. Go to page 22, 23, and (9+ / 0-)

many others.  Most of the cases are recent.  Why are you  mischaracterizing the report.  Also, have your read the torrent of recent NSA-related reports as the result of the Edward Snowden leaks?

Either way, why are you so invested in defending the system?  Why are you downplaying these issues?

This is kind of creepy and disturbing:

Did you read about the illegal breaking-and-entry operations against Greepeace in the report?  The illegal infiltration, wiretapping?

Instead of "skimming" You should FRTP carefully; that way you won't have to post this type of nonsense.  Read it.

Better to ignore the warning signs. After all, it'll be much easier to address the problem in the very unlikely event it becomes a done deal.

Just relax. Elect some Democrats. Life is good.

    •  That's part of the problem (7+ / 0-)

The efforts of social justice movements are being criminalized. OWS was targeted. And some say we didn't get proper permits. In some cases, new city ordinances were passed in response to occupy, making once legal actions illegal, just as an excuse to suppress.

Sometimes in the face of expanding oppression by the State apparatus, resorting to civil disobedience (disobeying laws) is the only effective recourse.
