  •  Warren has stated opposition to single-payer (7+ / 0-)

healthcare, and she has been a warhawk regarding Iran.

I will wait to see if she is one of the "more and better Democrats".

progressive priorities, she would line up with us 75% of the time. That's good for me. Let's not project something onto her that she is not (Obama circa 2008).

On single payer, do you really think Americans will support a nationwide plan now? It will have to start small in the states, like Vermont and California. The citizens who get their insurance through their job will have to be brought along with evidence that it will work.

On Iran, there is 34 years of mistrust. That will not go away overnight. The fact that Warren and Gillibrand are not embracing diplomacy with rose colored glasses should give all of us pause. But the prez is right to start a dialogue.

My daughter-in-law has insurance through her job in the healthcare field.  She is a medical assistant, not making a fortune and has 4 kids to support. She is divorced from my son, sad to say he isn't paying support and is in jail  She is a good person, hard working.  Her employer has changed insurance options. Before she had no deductable, now she has to pay over $2,000 before the insurance kicks in and they don't count medicines into the deductable.  Her kids have health issues, 2 have seizures, one is autistic, (her cousin's child she took in when her cousin went to jail) and one has to have growth harmones because he stopped growing at age 6.  It will be very hard for her to pay those bills.  Yes she is paying less for the insurance, but she is paying more on medical bills.  It isn't winning any support for the Affordable Health Care when people still can't afford healthcare.  I was hoping for alot more.  It still won't help my son either, as unmarried single men with no income still can't get medicaid and therefore he won't get help with his mental problems or drug addiction.  It is a deep disappointment to me.  Makes me feel like I can't trust either party to do the right thing.  I do love Elizabeth Warren though.

    •  Thank you... (0+ / 0-)

I have my suspicions of Mrs. Warren for sure...another President like President thank you.

These two points make my point exactly.  Sure we will support healthcare for all, BUT you have to pay for it - even if paying for it takes your rent or food money away.

And I will not vote for anyone that is NOT going to immediately STOP every war.

We have been in Afghanistan for 13 years...13!!!  That is CRAZY...we need to get out now.  If we haven't won - we are not going to...and in reality there is no win in there.
