it looks like excessive force by all of them.

i can understand some force to get a man down but once he
was on the ground, the rest was just viciousness.

Whoever was the senior officer on scene should be
charged for criminal negligence, and the others
failed to recognize or say anything.

i understand the police have a lot of latitude,
but, still, this was not just 2 bad officers,
this is a defective group dynamic.

you have to wonder if any of the officers saw
    anything wrong.

absolutely disgusting.  When Kelly cries for his Dad, it tears your heart out.  I have watched this very closely including all the videos that have been made public.  The DA was backed into the corner on this one.

      •  This is a deliberate error. (0+ / 0-)

When a cop makes an error in a snapshot,
mistaking a  shiny buckle for a gun,
or int he grant case, going for the taser
        and drawing the pistol.

        That's an instantaneous error.

But standing around or joing in for 30 minutes of

        Much more problematic.

A large part of this is poor police training,
they use force for 110% compliance, when
they should use Force related to Imminent threat,
Assault and compliance. in a de-escalating role.

If someone is drawing a gun, well, that's one thing,
or you want to wrestle with a cop, it something else,
but, if someone is just refusing to come out of their chair,
or other passive resistance, call for some backup
and try to talk the person into compliance rather then
just beating the crap out of them.
