    comparisons are good to point out, though I must admit they make me grumpy in this case as they do seem to reduce Perry's share of the blame.  On the other hand, do you think the (relative) improvement in percent of children in poverty had anything to do with Perry's policies?  Or was it just that there was in fact some recovery from the Bush Crash going on, despite Republican obstruction and Democratic over-focus on deficit instead of stimulus?

    I'd say probably it was ssome weak recovery.

      The article points out that things got worse under Perry, as if it was all on him. Things getting worse everywhere puts things in perspective. I'm not arguing that he did anything to limit the decline.
