    America's founding was all about protecting the might of the economically privileged, and about imposing their power over racial "inferiors" besides.

    Our Founding Fathers were in fact shamed into adding a Bill of Rights to the Constitution, and mostly in order to preserve states' rights to establish religion, curtail press and speech freedoms, etc.

    Dogs from the street can have all the desirable qualities that one could want from pet dogs. Most adopted stray dogs are usually humble and exceptionally faithful to their owners as if they are grateful for this kindness. -- H.M. Bhumibol Adulyadej

      Yeah, I know what you're saying, I've read Zinn etc, but despite that many of the founders were serious about all those Enlightenment notions about egalitarianism, having some sort of democracy, and not letting a king and aristocracy run the show. IOW, within certain defined parameters, they were opposed to "might makes right".

        running the show.  They didn't want anyone else's aristocracy running the show.
