  •  Thank you. (9+ / 0-)

Another pretty speech more or less entirely belied by the guy's actions.

Has she had to deal with the GOP Congress, as a President?

I wondered how long it would take for the bashers to show up.

        Not long.

          I'm with you there, Tuffie.
Looks like the diary went up at 2:07 CST and the crack from Corvo clocked in 2:46, so that's 39 minutes.

I haven't been keeping track, but I AM glad to see praise, hope and change had a chance on these boards for 38 minutes. Over half an hour! Baby steps, I know, baby steps.

Naturally, since Obama did NOT say "Chained CPI is the worst idea in the history of the world and I'm sorry anyone in my administration has ever been connected with it" we KNOW he didn't REALLY mean it, so, according to the croakers, it's STILL ON THE TABLE AND READY TO BE ENACTED TOMORROW!

Also, since Obama did NOT come out in favor of the Swiss plan for Universal Basic Income of, say, $2500/month/adult, indexed to inflation
OR raising the minimum wage to AT LEAST $15/hour by TOMORROW, according to the croakers this shows he is a complete Wall Street sell-out and in league with the Vast (but Tiny) ultra-elite financiers that control everything and every one every waking minute.
(The ultra-elite are actually only three disembodied brains in oversize Petri dishes that grant us the illusion of choice/conscience/humanity/aspiration, all while wagering Quatloos among themselves on whether or not we thralls are trainable.)

But I for one did enjoy the 38 minutes. Thank you for the re-cap, Joan!

          Shalom.

If Obama's serious about this speech, why hasn't it been taken down?

His words are admirable, yes - but they are just words. Let's see some action: as the President, Mr. Obama has a significant degree of freedom of action, and so far he's only willing to exercise it to defend NSA wiretapping.

Remind me, would you: Exactly how long has Barack Obama been POTUS?

I'll be charitable and settle for "by Fall 2009." :-)))
