monsters out there.  Their motto actually reads "Don't be so stupid that you get caught doing evil that can be traced back to us"

Next time you try to download some "free" software you will find that Google has piggybacked malware onto it that has changed your system in ways you did not intend.

I'm just going to say that would assume a lot more organization than I found be the case. In general, I think that you will find Google, and other teach firms, bungle their way into these things more so than planning it out.

Where is the evidence of Google trojan horse malware hidden in free downloadable software?

Google is relentlessly trying to shove me into Google +  Over and over, I have declined,  yet every two weeks, I go check my gmail account and find that once again I have been signed on to google +   .  So I unsubscribe yet again.  They are tracking my google searches, of course, and any of my purchases that they can. It is not malware but I keep finding new google services on my phone and on my elderly beloved Archos tablet, which is becoming almost unusable due to the Google services garbage they have forcibly downloaded to it

Archos is wonderful about this.  Once you download their operating system, that is the end of it.

Apple was much better about this.  If you said no, that was the end of it.  But Apple sells electronics and Google sells information, so Google's business model really requires software collecting information about you in your phone and in your tablet. I do not think calling it malware is really a huge stretch.
