on our side. Nor do I think Christie is particularly a better candidate than recent GOP nominees. Even if he tacks left a bit he has a record that is still pretty conservative. A number of Dems could beat him. However, Hillary carries a lot of baggage when it comes to the right. I can't think of anyone else who would bring Republicans out to vote against a Democrat like Hillary. That alone makes it a tight race no matter who they bring on. She will never produce a slam dunk race as they dislike her more than Obama.

And frankly as much as I love Warren I don't think she really wants the job and it would be a bad idea to put someone who doesn't have the drive and ego for it in the job. Who would challenge Clinton. I don't know. It's been suggested that Howard Dean may be considering it. Someone like Dean or even to the left of him who brings populist ideas produces a much larger choice to voters than the Republicans pick and Clinton. Clinton may be OK with some centrists or independents but she doesn't fulfill the mission of this diary. My gut feeling is that America is ready for something really different than they've had for the last 20 years and might decide, if nothing else with a progressive leader "What the hell? Lets give those folks a try. What do we have to lose by making some big changes?"

No one is hated as much as President Obama because he is a good person, extremely intelligent and well qualified, but he is black. The right sees all Democrats as road kill but none more so than President Obama who has been a worthy champion for what we Democrats fight for.  I was not for Hillary the last time, but this time I will be with her 100 percent. It is time for a smart woman like Hillary to get things done.  She knows the place and she will hit the road running as President Obama wanted to do.
