The most amazing thing about this season to me is the total collapse of 'elite' QBs...  for the past couple of years I've had 'experts' tell me that Matt Schaub was an ELITE QB...that Josh Freeman was an ELITE QB...that Michael Vick was an ELITE QB... Now they're all bums who can't play and nobody wants! DAMN that happened fast...

Oh and I've got 5 bottles of Sam Adams and 1/3rd bottle of Carlo Rossi white Zinfandel (left over from Thanksgiving dinner) - I'm debating whether to drink them all by halftime or save some for the second half...

year that seemed a classic case of disrespect when they ended 2nd seed in the AFC or whatever.  Freeman, maybe.  Vick, fits your case though we certainly need to add in the off-field difficulties.  How about RG3?  How about Tebow, for Most Humiliating Collapse of All Time?  (A  few nights ago my GF, who knows absolutely nothing about football except when the stars enter into wider pop culture, asked me "what happened to Tim Tebow?"  I had to tell her that after the Jets, I couldn't even remember where he was now.  We wondered if he would appear on "Dancing with the Stars", but honestly I doubt they'd have him either)

Btw, I'd watch this who-cares game but I don't have the NFL channel...

      •  I cut RGIII lots of slack, because he's recovering (2+ / 0-)

From a MAJOR injury that's changed the entire way he plays, and that he's a second year NFL QB which is historically their toughest year. And as for Tebow, no-one has ever confused him with being elite - its funny that the only good thing anyone was able to come up with for him was basically "yeah he's terrible, but he finds a way to win..."

not just in DEN.  But yes, he did find ways to win in the 4th; and people hoped that he'd someday learn how to pass. But no...

Fair point on RGIII, and yes the sophomore slump (though it doesn't seem to have effected R. Wilson).   And I'm sure that RG will re-emerge as a formidable QB.  But couldn't Washington have a done a little better this season, in the league's weakest division?  (or is that the NFC North?  Tough call...)
