      "Pushing the envelope", delivering a message outside a perceived social norm, often seems to work better for some messengers than others.

      Whether that phenomenon seems mysterious, understandable, fair, annoying, surprising or routine may depend upon the time one spends delving into human social psychology.

      Writing and speaking are rather crude forms of telepathy, and spending one's time trying to change minds via crude telepathy can be frustrating sometimes.
