is complex. Many people are excluded from public debate, or at least debate that is publicised. It is difficult for those people to admit that their concerns have been ignored in the supposed discourse of the Great and Good™, and the process of finding which concerns are most important can be laborious. However, for true progress to be achieved, the precise nature of problems arising from the current neoliberal system need to be addressed. Props to the people participating in the Left Unity conference for their efforts to delineate how this may be accomplished. Thank you for giving us a window into that process.

    •  Honestly, exhausting and literally painful! (5+ / 0-)

But, I am hoping that it just may change things ... that will depend on many things and it is a hard process, which is frustrating. But I am so glad to be working in the group and to have played even a tiny role in trying to get it working. There are some excellent people there, hopefully more excellent people will join  ...

Am going to go read it now (looked last night but wasn't in the queue yet).  If you sign off before I comment you can always check back tomorrow.  (As usual it looks long and complex so don 't know how long it will take me to get thru it.  Be baqck when done reading.

        •  Actually, what makes it look long (5+ / 0-)

is the large number of videos; the piece itself is short except for the discussion on sexism in the left and accessibility. :)
