put "On the List". The first step to a full endorsement by Emily's List.

    •  Not surprising (5+ / 0-)

As she's the only woman in the race. She could use some outside spending, since she's taking the public financing and will have limits on what she can do. It would take a real miracle for her to be competitive, but she's doing a good job of moving the conversation to the left.

potential for a win. So if Mizeur gets moved up to a full endorsement, then she has more of shot then we think. As of now I agree with you.

        •  I'd definitely like to see some polling on this (0+ / 0-)

It still seems to me that she has very little chance of winning the primary. She's completely unknown to 98 percent of Marylanders, and Anthony Brown is not only a statewide elected official, but he'll get heavy support among African-Americans in the primary.

Also, Brown is pretty liberal, so it's not like Mizeur has very many angles to run to his left.

          •  The most recent poll i've seen (0+ / 0-)

            Was just on name recognition.

Mizeur was below 10%. I live in her district, so I had heard of her. My parents live in Western MD and didn't know she even existed last week.

Brown is not much to the right of Mizeur on most issues. Pot legalization is the big marker between Mizuer and the other two right now.

            •  And there's been no polling (2+ / 0-)

since Gansler's party controversy came out and the resulting poor response happened.  Mizeur could pick up some of his support but that would still be far from enough and would only happen if they knew she existed, which apart from MontCo most people don't.   I think she's getting some promoting from the leftover Pro-Q6 infrastructure but that's anecdotal from a relative so I'm not positive.
