    1.5 million?  Countless tragedies.

And dreamers are still being deported.

Clearly the Tea Party/GOP wants this to go on.  But Obama has been flip-flopping IMO.

public statements, kids, mothers, fathers, dreamers, what-have-you, are all being deported. Nothing has changed.

I find his duplicity on this matter utterly appalling.  Under his administration, the INS set deportation quotas to be used in performance evaluations for immigration agents. Under his administration, the quota system for imprisoning undocumented aliens in private prisons continues.

He is not powerless to do anything about that. He appoints the people who run those agencies. He absolutely can change things.  He just doesn't.  He says nice pretty things like "I'm directing that the INS focus on dangerous criminals" but in reality, nothing changes.

It's a lot like his stance on how he couldn't do anything at all on LGBT issues. Over and over, to counter shouting demonstrators at his speeches, he said, "The law has to change."

Suddenly, he "evolved" and his administration began taking real steps to stop discrimination and to not defend DOMA, etc. Turns out there were executive actions he could take himself. Huh....

He has a large capacity for duplicity and that bothers me.
