  •  It has pretty much always (12+ / 0-)

been so with laws, since we've paid 'professional' lawmakers to make laws year after year after year for nearly a quarter of a millennium. They never run out of laws to make, and seldom strike any from the books.

The adage all my life has been "They can always get you for something." And it's just a matter of whether or not they want you bad enough to destroy your life and end your freedom rather than merely extort your meager income and cause you huge hassles.

So we can't even say we'll wait until they start oppressing people in real life before we do anything, because they've been oppressing people in real life all along. It's just their targeting chart that's been automated. I don't think they'll ever give us our liberties back out of the kindness of their hearts, and they control even the highest levels of executive and legislative governments even more than they control you and me.

I don't know what the answer is.
