    Here's the link:

A Stand for Democracy in the Digital Age

The link is from the authors' site. Roughly 75,000 signatures so far. They're piling up new signatures rapidly.

How's about 1,500,000 signatures for that? Or 15,000,000?

I can see both the Empire State Building and the new Target Building replacement for the World Trade Center out the window. We lost people to the 9/11 attack including three dozen or so connected to this little town. We have people who work in New York every week day and I'm in there too.

If risking terrorism is the price to keep FBI, NSA and the corporations from pushing us to a Surveillance State, then so be it. Put my name in the hopper and draw the lots -- trading liberty for a chance to avoid whatever Al Qaeda is doing is a bad deal.

We do NOT have to become a police state to "save" our democracy.

We can do better than that!

Too many good people have lost their lives for a real democracy and to uphold our Constitutional rights.

I refuse to believe the only way to protect us is to become our worst enemy.
