    My facebook is for communicating with family and friends.  Period.  I generally do not engage in political discourse and I have defriended a couple of people because they insist upon using the medium as a religious/political soap box.  I don't mind having the 'option' to use my FB for a login, but I don not want to be forced to use it.

      I see their posts but seldom comment on them. But once in a while I can't help myself. For example, there was a post last year that likened a hunting rifle to an assault rifle because the bullets are the same. I politely asked my friend when the Marines would start using hunting rifles in war.
      On the other side, I have friends who constantly post about what I should eat and how I should raise my children. I ignore those as well.

      If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
