    the cesium release levels have declined by 80% despite increasing levels of waterborne releases from the facilities at Daiichi? What specific filtration are they using now on the groundwater and trench/tunnel water and tank water releases that accounts for this amazing decline?

    Now, that is not to say overall cesium levels aren't declining. I mean, it's been a two and a half years since this shit started, and the half-life of cesium-134 is two years. But the 'normal' (heh) concentration of cesium-134 to cesium-137 in core inventory - that which is available for release if your core happens to melt down and release all its mobile isotopes - is 1:4 or so. Thus a diminishment by half of the 134 certainly couldn't be expected to diminish overall releases by 80%. Given that the half-life of 137 is just over 30 years.
