I want a Hillary landslide. We need a woman president. I want states like KY, AR, GA and even TX in play. I want a Hillary landslide--with huge PROGRESSIVE DEM MAJORITIES in both parts of Congress.

But she has to be pushed and pulled to the left. And it has to be part of her campaign. She has to stop this shit, NOW, or we drop her and go with Warren, Sherrod Brown, Gillibrand, Schweitzer, or SOMEBODY.  But our chances of winning the general diminish greatly.

    •  Of those, only Schweitzer looks like a candidate. (6+ / 0-)

He is not exactly liberal, but he is an incredible speaker and an engaging personality who would compare favorably to Christie.

    •  Not sure about our chances diminishing (4+ / 0-)

if HRC isn't at the top of the ticket.  She didn't demonstrate much aptitude for campaigning on her 2008 campaign, and her husband often steals the spotlight from her with his so-called gaffes.  Many of HRC's photo ops feel staged and phony - remember her knocking back boiler makers with those steelworkers?  When she's behind, instead of working harder, she goes on TV and cries.  Her public speaking skills are adequate but not inspiring.

Worst of all, she surrounds herself with odious and incompetent advisors.  I didn't often agree with Bill Clinton, but there was no disputing his skill as a politician, and he surrounded himself with killer advisors and strategists.  HRC is his antithesis:  not a natural politician, and a poor judge of character when selecting her team.

was very effective the one time I remember her trying it.

Politics means controlling the balance of economic and institutional power. Everything else is naming post offices.
