  •  To answer, yes the Virginia GOP is that crazy (14+ / 0-)

After all, they would have voted for Cuccinelli in a primary, and the Virginia GOP decided to nominate by covention which got E.W Jackson as the Lt. Gov. nominee(and he could possibly be the GOP nominee against Mark Warner next year for the Senate race).

Of course, this is not going to turn out well for the GOP in Virginia.  Of course the Beltway Media will just say that the Democrats did something similiar with the U.S Senate and actually allowing Obama to pick his nominations.  Local media will likely go at the GOP hard.

I agree with President Obama, our country's journey is not yet complete. We must continue the work that our forebearers at Seneca Falls started, and put the Equal Rights Amendment into our Constitution.

The strategic use of an exclamation point!  I agree with you whole heartedly!

I can't force you to do anything, I can just make you regret it!

since we do not register by party in Virginia anyone could have voted in Republican primary, especially as there was no contest on Democratic side

consensus of experienced political observers in VG is that 2x Republican LT Gov Bill Bolling would have crushed Cuccinelli in a primary and then decisively have beaten McAuliffe

Cuccinell in every poll of the GOP Primary was beating Bolling solidly.  But yeah if Bolling had been the nominee, he'd have beaten McAuliffe.
