    tale!  Thanks for mentioning it. I'm badgering Dearly Beloved for another visit to Seattle so we can visit Vashon Island, where Betty McDonald used to live. I will definitely look up this title in the library. My little granddaughter might like to have this read to her one day.

      There is a sign at the entrance to the driveway (the house is fairly close to the road) mentioning The Egg and I.

      She will give us a granddaughter before Christmas.

      We will take it to read to her and her husband and little Zoe this Christmas.

      I won't give it away, but there is another landmark I would like you to look for on Vashon at the end of the book.
