      going with you off to prison or the camp when you do something wrong only include family by blood. Your uncles and aunts may go with you, your spouse explicitly won't unless found complicit.

      She could set him up - or report him for things he actually was doing, for that matter - assured that she wouldn't be tarnished unless there were signs she'd been involved.

      So far as North Korean customs at the moment go, he was functionally not a member of the family no matter what rank and connections he'd obtained through marriage to one of them.
