Anything that keeps this from happening deserves all the attention it can get.

Sorry I missed your diary mourning these Al Qaeda victims.

Thursday's drone strike is the second since a massive car bombing and coordinated assault on Yemen's military headquarters killed 56 people, including foreigners.

so Al Qaeda says they are bombing due to drone strikes, according tot he article you link, and then we kill a wedding party. How do you think that plays out for people in Yemen?

        •  Al Qaeda has been (0+ / 0-)

at war with Yemen (since 2010 apparently). So I wouldn't  take their rationalizations a face value.

Maybe Al Qaeda are the good guys....what do I know.

my question was, what do you think the rational position of someone in Yemen would be to such, miscalculations.

But from seeing your other comments, it seems you are more or less giving the thinking behind the attacks, and not actually endorsing them.

It's a stupid, counter-productive and evil policy, though I know you don't like the evil part, based on some sort of just-following-orders distinction you mentioned in the comments above. A distinction I don't share.
