    What he said makes perfect sense. He's going to take the hit for making a bad personnel decision, but at the end of the day he still didn't make or cause those actions to be taken directly. That person needs to go away, because they are accountable for their actions.

    Now, if the smoking gun is found that links CC to causality, then we have a ball game. Until then, attacks on him with regard to this topic other than the equivalent of "man, you made a pretty bad hire there. Poor judgement, dude." are just bullshit and they make us look like idiots. The bridge thing might not have been manufactured, but this is, and the constant game of "gotcha by word-parsing" is a really distasteful part of politics.
