    and it very clearly says "white" (leukos) -- twice, in fact:

    14ἡ δὲ κεφαλὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ τρίχες λευκαὶ ὡς ἔριον λευκόν, ὡς χιών, καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ὡς φλὸξ πυρός, 15καὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτοῦ ὅμοιοι χαλκολιβάνῳ ὡς ἐν καμίνῳ πεπυρωμένης, καὶ ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ ὡς φωνὴ ὑδάτων πολλῶν, .

    By the way, the Greek word used to describe his feet (or possibly his legs) -- chalkolibano -- can mean either "fine brass" or "yellow frankincense."  I lean toward the latter since this is a compound word (the "chalk" root means brass" and "libano" is frankincense or other incense), so the first part is probably the adjective and the second the main noun part.

    The main thing is that no one in their right mind actually thinks that you can get anything historical from Revelation.  It's like a religious visionary on magic mushrooms. :)
