  •  Christie will CRUSH Hillary (0+ / 0-)

It will be ugly.  Christie has more charisma in his pinky finger than HRC.

Which is why it warms the heart to see Iowan teabagger rejecting Christie.  Heh.

    •  Maybe hyperbole. But he's strong. (0+ / 0-)

Independents may switch to the "new" candidate if he's lively and can "connect" with people.

Let's not fool ourselves about "independents"; they're either leaning republican or leaning "let's try somebody new". They're not that much into policy.

I wonder what Bill and Hillary are thinking at this point.

    •  uh, no he won't (2+ / 0-)

unless you equate "charisma" with "being a giant obnoxious douchebag".  His so-called charisma will not play any better with the general electorate, not too mention the many more rececent skeletons in his closet, with voters outside of NJ.

      •  Personally I think he's an asshole (0+ / 0-)

But I thought the same of Bush and Americans loved him at first.

Christie has way more charisma than Dubya, and he's a smart guy as well.  As for skeletons, charisma trumps them every time, see Bill Clinton.

it's who comes out of NH..then skip SC and onward...but still don't see why CC would crush Hilary...why?

      •  Charisma, bipartisan appeal (0+ / 0-)

Christie speaks well, with a dreamy idealistic vision of America similar to Reagan's.  It's bullshit, but Americans respond to it.

HRC is not a good public speaker, she cannot inspire.  She is not a natural politician like Christie, and lacks  his instinct for campaigning.  She could make up for those shortcomings by surrounding herself with exemplary advisors and strategists, but instead she chooses incompetent boobs like Mark Penn.

Most importantly, Christie draws bipartisan support despite pursuing a blatantly right wing agenda.  I don't get it, but that's how it is in NJ.  If NJ dems like Christie, it's a good bet that he'll do reasonably well with independents and some dems nationally.  HRC is the polar opposite:  she does well among dems, but republicans despise her and independents are wary of the Clintons.
