That excuses it.  You win the argument.

Yes. As the aunt of two beautiful young AA men, I'm a strong proponent of police brutality towards minorities. And America's long, sordid history of racism. Big fan.

      Seriously?

Ho'oponopono. To make things right; restore harmony; heal.

      •  Why is it that we're exempt from being (6+ / 0-)

Fascist because we just target minorities. That's what I don't understand. Or even a brutally oppressive society? The government uses the intelligence services to target people of color for oppression. We know this. Now they have complete access to every phone call and everything that gets said on the internet. Why does the fact that they have always targeted people of color pertinent to the situation? I don't understand why that mitigates anything about this. "It's not fascism, it's just tradition!"

If knowledge is power and power corrupts, does that mean that knowledge corrupts?

just getting what we deserve or something.  Honestly it's the dumbest argument.  It doesn't even rise to the level of logical fallacy because there is no logic to follow.

It's like blurting out "Well I HAVE CANCER!" as a response to someone complaining about bronchitis.  This isn't supposed to be a contest.

We are supposed to want less opression.
