    ... which posited that the land upon which most reservations are situated is actually better in terms of available resources than much of the land surrounding the reservations, and that all of the Indians' problems would be solved if they would just get on board with the concept of private property.

    I'll admit I'm not well-versed on American Indian issues, but that sounded like rubbish to me.

    I would like to see as much land as possible returned to the tribes, community banks set up, an infrastructure bank established, first-rate schools and universities built on the resevations with a curriculum heavily based on tribal culture, and then grants provided for the development not of gimmicky crap like casino gambling, but entreprenurial opportunities which would fit within the American Indian cultural framework, such as tribal cooperatives and employee-owned enterprises - I would think renewable energy technology, for example, would be a perfect fit.

    But as I said, I'm not as up on these issues as I should be, so maybe the above is just as full of crap as that in Forbes.

    I vote we run Rick Scott out of Florida on a high-speed rail.
