  •  Handicapped people online (none)
    Actually, I think the barriers for handicapped people are much lower online than in the "Real World". I never was friends with a blind or deaf person before the Internet; now I know both, as well as quite a few people with movement disabilities. In all those cases I became friends with them before I ever realized they were handicapped, which is basically impossible in "Real Life".

    My observation is that it is much easier for disabled people to be their own advocates online than in the Real World. The playing field may not quite be level, but it's much closer to level.
