    don't touch the lives of bi and transgender people?  

    Heterosexual bias limits who Bi people can marry, just as it does gay and lesbian people.  It also affects whether transgender people can get married at all, because some of us come from states that will never amend birth certificates.  When someone is transgender and interested in marriage in that case it gets even more complicated - no matter their sexual identity.

      I was calling into question the claim that the G and L folks exclude the B and T folks.  I raised the question of same sex marriage precisely because it does affect bi and transgendered people.  In short, I don't understand what is the exclusion that the commenter refers to.

      marriage will continue to be recognized if they transition after the wedding, if it already was.

      I've got a friend who sits on pins and needles when a federal ruling is up, simply because of that fear. It was a M/F marriage on paper, and now it isn't.
