    When some of the more simple-minded pols talk about provider choice and treatment choice as if it were a gods given right that we all had before Obama, I think about Michael Jackson.
    He had all the care money could buy, and doctors he hired to give service, not attitude.
    One of the saddest things I read after his death was that his autopsy results showed he was in decent health aside from his drug abuse. He shouldn't have died. If he had been one of the people I serve he would never have had access to all those prescription drugs, and probably would have been very dissatisfied with his care.
    It's an extreme case, but another example of why health care is not a consumer item where more intervention is always better.
