    so-called journalists claimed it was. Bias and partisanship has always been part of their game.

      for "partisan" broadcasters. Two that immediately come were both Democrats. But both were Americans first.

      One: Edward R. Murrow, was partisan for the sake of democracy when he took on Joe McCarthy. And two: Walter Cronkite, who was partisan about an ill-conceived, immoral war in Vietnam.

      Republican journalists would never have taken on either one of those indelible stains on the fabric of our country. Or at least not contemporaneously.

      Some to this day would defend one or the other.
